green and white...

Last week, I just had Alex to pack for since Clara didn't have school.  I could pretend like we made this lunch green and white in order to get excited for the Michigan State football game Alex was going to on Saturday with his dad, uncle and grandpa.... but in reality, it was just a happy accident!  :-)

The tortellini were leftover from dinner the night before and I had intended on sending him with leftover tomato sauce to dip it in.  However, he asked for ranch instead.  I felt the need to add some veggies... looked in the fridge and pulled out the broccoli.  The crackers we have that Alex likes look fairly white in this photo and finally, he asked for grapes and all we had were green ones!

So there you have it... Alex's green and white lunch...

I just have to put this out there.... the quality of this photo really bugs me!  It's not as sharp as it should be.  I'm trying to remember, but it must have been a really low light day and my shutter speed was probably a little too long to hand hold the camera.  Given that the days are getting shorter and the kids' schools start earlier... I'm going to need a new plan!

Oh... and DEFINITELY check back here tomorrow!!  Some friends and I have a big blog hop planned for Talk Like a Pirate Day!!  Lots of great lunches to look at and a great giveaway too!
