another field trip...

... but this time I didn't have a super cool container like last time.  So, I had to make do with some containers I had been collecting.

The first layer is a blueberry container and two little containers we saved from a recent lunch at  Hannah's Bretzel (they had once held a side of almonds)...
... for food she has veggies (carrot sticks, sweet baby bell peppers and grape tomatoes), ranch for dipping and blueberries.

The first layer all closed up and ready for the next layer...
 The second layer...
...smashed chickpea and avocado salad with baby spinach on oatmeal bread and a homemade whole wheat cherry chocolate chip muffin.

And this is what her final "lunchbox" looked like...
... everything all packed up inside a salad container!

For her drink, we had saved a water bottle from one of our outings where we found ourselves without our usual reusable bottles and had to purchase a bottle of water (man, this sentence is messed up, but you know what I mean... I hope!).  We washed and refilled it.  I also put it in the freezer for a couple of hours so it wasn't solid, but frozen enough to help keep her lunch cool until time to eat.
