I figured it was okay to post these two together since they're a lot the same. :-)
On Thursday, Clara asked for a tuna wrap...
Tuna salad on a multi-grain wrap with cucumbers, carrots and spinach, fruit (blueberries and a strawberry) and veggies (carrots and cucumbers, leftover from the wrap) with homemade sun dried tomato hummus.
Since the recipe we use for the tuna salad makes enough for two wraps, she had the second half on Friday...
same tuna wrap decorated with my first attempt at making carrot flowers, same veggies and hummus, a cherry tomato and carrot flower, and fruit (grapes and blueberries).
Her lunch was a little larger on Friday because she had band before school and then about a three hour architectural walking tour of the loop field trip which meant lunch got pushed back about an hour and a half. She also had basketball right after school.
Normally, we head to baseball on Friday nights, but Clara had an extra ballet class to prep for their final presentation next weekend. Since it was only an hour and a half, I packed her a snack, not a "sninner". The addition of the muffin cups makes it look more packed than it really is. I totally love those things!
Strawberries, grapes and blueberries, deli ham, cherry tomatoes, cherries and sesame sticks. We thought a cab would be quicker than the el... I think we were wrong! We were a couple of minutes late, but at least the cab ride gave her ample time to eat her snack.
